Click **Create**. 2. Enter a **Name**. The name becomes part of the coupon variable, for example `<%coupon.welcomecoupon%>`. 3. Optional: Enter a **Description**. 4. Under **Insufficient Number of Coupons**, select what happens when the list has no codes left: - **Display Alternative Text**: Recipients without a code see the alternative text instead of the coupon. - **Pause Sendout**: The sendout stops until you import more codes and resume it. 5. If you selected **Display Alternative Text**, enter the **Alternative Text**. 6. Optional: Enter a **Preview Text**. Test messages and previews show this text instead of a real code. 7. Optional: Set up a reminder. See *Set Up a Low-Coupon Reminder* below. 8. Click **Save**. The new list is empty. Import your codes next. For the rules of each field, see [Create New Coupon List](/v1/docs/create-new-coupon-list-window). --- ## Import Coupons Into a List 1. Click **Import** next to the list. 2. Select the validation type: - **Coupon Codes** for alphanumeric codes - **Barcodes** for codes that you want to show as barcodes 3. If you selected **Barcodes**, select the barcode type. 4. Click **Browse** and select your import file. The file must contain one code per line, in a single column, without a header row. For the full format description, see [Import Coupons](/v1/docs/import-coupons-window). 5. Select the file type: **TXT** or **CSV** (with separator and encoding). 6. Select the import mode: - **Add**: Adds the codes to the list. - **Replace**: Replaces all existing codes. - **Delete**: Removes the codes in the file from the list. 7. Click **Import**. ⇒ You receive a system message with the import status. > [!NOTE] > Note > > Imports in **Replace** or **Delete** mode are blocked during active sendouts. --- ## Resume a Paused Sendout If a list uses **Pause Sendout** and runs out of codes, the sendout stops. To continue it: 1. Import more codes into the list in **Add** mode. 2. Go to *Messages > Outbox > Email*. 3. Filter by the status **Interrupted**. 4. Click **Resume** next to the sendout. --- ## Set Up a Low-Coupon Reminder A reminder notifies the owner of the list, and optionally another user, when the number of available codes drops to a threshold. This gives you time to import more codes before a sendout runs out. The reminder is sent as the system message `SysMsgCouponAlert`. 1. Create a coupon list or edit an existing one. 2. Set **Remind Owner** to **Yes**. 3. In **Send Reminder When**, enter the number of codes that triggers the reminder. 4. Optional: In **Send Additional Reminder To**, select another Mapp Engage user. 5. Click **Save**. For more information, see [System Messages](/v1/docs/system-message). --- ## Archive, Reactivate, or Delete a Coupon List Archive a coupon list to remove it from active use. You can only delete a list after you archive it. ### Archive a Coupon List 1. Select the lists you want to archive. 2. Click **Archive**. 3. To review archived lists, set the **Show** filter to **Archived**. > [!NOTE] > Note > > Scheduled messages can still use the codes of an archived list until the codes run out. ### Reactivate an Archived Coupon List Reactivate an archived list to use it for new sendouts. 1. Set the **Show** filter to **Archived**. 2. Select the lists you want to reactivate. 3. Click **Reactivate**. ⇒ The lists are shown under **Active**. ### Delete an Archived Coupon List 1.
