    What is Abandoned Browse?

    Abandoned Browse refers to when a contact views products on your website but doesn’t interact with them in any way. With Abandoned Browse campaigns, you can re-engage these users with targeted messages based on their browsing behavior.

    How does it work?

    1 Data Collection

    First, you must make product and browsing information available in Mapp Engage via the Mapp Intelligence Tracking Script or SDK (Web & App-Based Product Tracking). With this option, product data can be collected via web or app tracking and sent to Mapp Engage.

    2 Populating eCommerce Tables

    The predefined eCommerce table is designed specifically for Abandoned Browse campaigns and features additional triggers to automate actions. Once set up, this table is populated automatically with the collected data, which can be used across Mapp Engage for your marketing campaigns.

    3 Use the data across Mapp Engage

    Your can now build your abandoned browse campaigns using data from the eCommerce tables:

    1. Prepare a personalized Email message: Automatically include viewed products in emails to create tailored, engaging messages that encourage purchases.

    2. Segment your contacts: Use the Abandoned Browse criterion to identify and re-engage users based on their browsing behavior.

      • Go to Audience > Segmentation > Segmentation Builder.

      • Select and configure the Abandoned Browse criterion.

    3. Automate with Whiteboards – Use the Abandoned Browse Table Event to trigger workflows when items are added or removed.
