Introduction
Mapp Engage Variables enable you to easily insert dynamic content into messages or landing pages. By using these variables, you can streamline the process of adding complex content, saving time and effort.
Unlike personalization, Mapp Engage Variables display the same content for all recipients or visitors to a landing page. This ensures consistency across your messages and pages.
Benefits
Mapp Engage Variables offer many advantages, including:
Adding message, group, or system metadata to messages.
Inserting links to your Mapp Engage landing pages.
Adding system links such as “view in browser,” “view mobile version,” “unsubscribe,” or “update profile.”
Merging content from an external website into a message or landing page.
Incorporating conversion tracking variables.
Embedding coupons or barcodes into messages or landing pages.
Including individual attachments in email messages (e.g., invoices).
How They Work
Each Mapp Engage Variable has a specific structure based on its function. These variables take the form of placeholders within tags like this: <% ... %>
. During the sendout, Mapp Engage replaces the placeholder with the appropriate content.
Some variables are ready to use immediately, while others may require additional setup.
Types of Mapp Engage Variables
The Mapp Engage Variables are organized into the following categories:
