The Coupon category inserts a code from a coupon list into the message. Each recipient receives a different code. You can use coupons in email and SMS messages.
Navigation Path
Create or edit a message.
Click Mapp Engage Variables.
From the Category drop-down list, select Coupon.
Drag and drop the coupon list into the message.
Available Coupon Lists
The Coupon category lists all coupon lists in your Mapp Engage system. The number in brackets shows how many coupons remain in the list.
Note
Check that there are enough coupons for all contacts in the sendout. If there are not enough coupons, Mapp Engage either displays alternative content or pauses the sendout. You define this setting when you create the coupon list.
If the category shows no coupon lists, one of the following applies:
There are no coupon lists in your Mapp Engage system.
You do not have permission to see coupon lists. You need one of the following system permissions:
157 Messaging: Edit Own Coupons
158 Messaging: View All Coupons
Format
The variable has the format <%coupon.listname%>. For example, the variable for a coupon from the list welcomecoupon is:
<%coupon.welcomecoupon%>You do not need to change the variable. During sendout, Mapp Engage replaces it with a code from the coupon list.
