Email Message Opened: Registered when a contact opens an email.
Email Message Not Opened: For these contacts, the "Email Message Opened" event was not registered.
Link Clicked: Registered when a contact clicks a link in an email.
Link Not Clicked: For these contacts, the "Link Clicked" event was not registered.
The system does not register this event for clicks on system links. You add system links such as links to edit a profile, forward a message, and unsubscribe from a group with a variable.
Link Type
Any Link: Registered an event when a contact clicked any link in any message.
Specific Link: Registered an event when a contact clicked a specific link in a specific prepared, scheduled, or sent message.
Link Category: Registered an event when a contact clicked on a link in a certain link category.
Message Selection
Prepared Email Message: Registers an event each time a contact clicks a link in one or more prepared messages. You can select up to 15 prepared messages.
The event registers clicks in group sendouts and single sendouts of the prepared message as long as the whiteboard plan is active. While the plan is active, the prepared message cannot be deleted. For more information, see Prepared Messages.
Scheduled or Sent Email Message: Registers an event each time a contact clicks a link in one or more scheduled or sent emails. The option that you select in the Link Type area affects the selection in the following ways:
Group: Defines whether the system registers the event for clicks on message links in all groups or clicks on message links in specific groups. The group options are only available when Any Link or Link Category is selected in the Link Type area.
Any Group: Registers an event each time a contact clicks a link in any message in any group. This setting responds to all click activity of your contacts, no matter what link they click.
Specific Group: Registers an event each time a contact clicks a link in one or more groups. Click the input field to select groups from the drop-down list. The system registers each link click from all groups that you select. You can select up to 15 groups.
Group category: Registers an event each time a contact clicks a link in any message in any group category. This setting responds to all click activity of your contacts, no matter what link they click.
Message Category: Registers an event each time a contact clicks a link in a message with the selected message category. The system registers this event for link clicks in messages in any of the selected message categories. You can select up to 15 message categories. This option is only available when Any Link is selected in the Link Type area.
Message links are displayed in the Configure Event panel in the following format: URL (ID: messageid_linkid) when selected in the Configure Event panel. Example: http://www.examplecompany.com(ID:235_5)
The message ID is a unique number that is assigned to each message in the system.
The link ID is a unique number that is assigned to each link in a message. The first link in the message has the number 1 and each subsequent link increases incrementally.
