For what prepared messages are and how you use them, see [Prepared Messages](/v1/docs/messages-prepared-messages). --- ## Procedure 1. Open the message: - For a new message, go to *Create New > Message* and create an email or SMS message. - For an existing draft, go to *Messages > Draft Messages*, select **Email** or **SMS**, and open the message for editing. 2. Add or check the content, then click **Prepare Sendout**. 3. In the **Configuration** step, from **Group**, select the group that the prepared message belongs to. 4. From **Action**, select **Save as Prepared Message**. 5. Optional: To also use the message as a template for [system messages](/v1/docs/system-messages), select **Create System Message Template**. 6. Click **Save Prepared Message**. The message is saved under *Messages > Prepared Messages* and gets its own message ID (MID). For the creation steps of each channel, see [Create an HTML Email Message](/v1/docs/create-an-email-message), [Create a CMS Email Message](/v1/docs/create-a-new-email-message), and [Create and Customize SMS Messages](/v1/docs/create-sms-message). ## Related - [Create Templates for System Messages](/create-templates-for-system-messages.md) - [Prepared Messages: Overview](/prepared-messages-overview-window.md) - [Create an HTML Email Message](/create-an-email-message.md) - [Create and Customize SMS Messages](/create-sms-message.md)
