Goal
To select attributes for target group analysis in the Statistics area.
Background Information
Target group analysis allows you to compare the success of your messages with different segments of your audience. For example, you can compare the success of your messages with different genders, age groups, or income brackets.
Attributes selected for target group analysis play a critical role in segment evaluation. Before starting message send-outs, ensure you define these attributes carefully. When you change an attribute selected for target group analysis, target group statistics for previous messages are deleted. Always export your statistics before making changes.
Requirements for Attribute Selection
When selecting attributes for target group analysis, keep the following in mind:
Only enumerated custom attributes are eligible for selection.
Enumerations may not exceed 10 values.
Boolean attributes cannot be selected.
A maximum of two custom attributes can be marked as target attributes simultaneously. If two attributes are already marked, one must be unmarked before selecting a different attribute.
Standard attributes, such as Title and Date of Birth, are always included and do not count toward the two-attribute limit.
Note:
If an attribute is edited and no longer meets the requirements, it will automatically be removed as a target attribute. A warning message will notify you of this change.
Procedures
Add as Target Attribute
Navigate to Administration > Attributes.
Click on the plus icon (Add as Target Attribute) next to the attribute you wish to select.
If two attributes are already added as target attributes, a message will display: "There are already two attributes marked as target attributes. To mark another one, please unmark one first." If not, a message will display to confirm that the attribute has been added.
Remove as Target Attribute
Navigate to Administration > Attributes.
Click on the minus icon (Remove as Target Attribute) next to the attribute you wish to select.
A message will display to confirm that the attribute has been removed.
