This job was previously called: Send New Password to User.
This job sends an email with a new password to the contacts in a selection. The password is randomly generated.
The contacts are selected from the system-wide databank with a mandatory selection. System users with a higher system role than the automation owner are ignored.
The selection should not contain the addresses of API users (see). Otherwise, API calls will fail due to incorrect credentials.
The user who receives the new password email should immediately log into Engage and change his password. For more information on choosing a complex, secure password, see Passwords in Mapp Engage.
Use Case
This job can be used to ensure that system users change their password on a regular interval (for example, every 90 days).
