In a whiteboard plan, contacts typically progress to the next step immediately upon completion. To introduce a delay, users can insert a Wait or Schedule element between steps. This allows for automation delays for a specified duration or to move contacts at a particular time of day. Additionally, export and import jobs can be time-consuming; if these jobs are still processing, the subsequent step in the whiteboard journey will not commence. To ensure the journey continues as intended, it is essential to utilize Wait or Schedule steps effectively. This approach helps maintain the flow of the automation process while accommodating necessary delays.
Normally, when a contact completes a step on the whiteboard plan, the system moves the contact to the next step immediately. To delay contacts before they move to the next step, place a Wait or Schedule element between the steps.
You can combine both steps to delay the automation for a particular amount of time and move contacts to the next step at a specified hour of the day.
Export and especially import jobs can take a substantial amount of time to process. If the export and import jobs have not finished, then the next step in your Whiteboard journey will not initiate. Use the Wait or Schedule steps to keep your journey running as planned.
