See [Set Up Conversion Tracking](/v1/docs/creation-of-a-tracking-pixel-for-conversion-tracking). Mapp Engage does not show these metrics in the user interface. You can export them as raw tracking data: 1. Go to *Data Management > Exports*. 2. Select the export type **Tracking Export**. 3. Follow the steps in [Create an Export for Tracking Data](/v1/docs/create-an-export-for-tracking-data). > [!NOTE] > Note > > The export contains event-level records in CSV format. To analyze them, you need an external tool. --- ## Why Use an External Tracking Tool? For detailed insights, such as conversion funnels, behavior patterns, or cross-channel attribution, use a dedicated analytics platform. We recommend Mapp Intelligence. It offers: - Tracking across emails, websites, and apps - Consistent user identification across systems, via hashed email address or contact ID - Advanced segmentation and campaign analysis - GDPR-compliant handling of personal data within the Mapp Cloud You can also integrate other platforms, such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, or Matomo. With third-party tools, you share data with external vendors. With Mapp Intelligence, the data stays in your own environment. --- ## Add a Tracking Code to a Landing Page > [!WARNING] > Warning > > If external scripts are blocked for your landing pages, tracking code from other domains does not run. Ask your Mapp representative to approve the domain of your analytics provider. See [Security for Landing Pages](/v1/docs/security-for-landing-pages). 1. Get the tracking code from your analytics provider. For Mapp Intelligence, see [Smart Pixel](/v1/docs/smart-pixel). 2. Go to *Content > Landing Pages* and open the landing page. 3. Go to step **2. Build & Design**. 4. Paste the tracking code into the HTML code of the page. Follow the instructions of your provider for the position, for example in the `<head>` or before the closing `</body>` tag. 5. Complete the remaining steps and publish the landing page. --- ## Pass the Contact ID to Your Analytics Tool If your analytics tool supports user identification, you can pass contact data with personalization placeholders. Example for the contact ID: ```javascript ``` The placeholder only has a value if the visitor opened the landing page from a link in a Mapp Engage message. For other placeholders, see [Personalize a Landing Page](/v1/docs/engage-variables-in-landing-pages). > [!WARNING] > Warning > > With third-party platforms, you share personal data with external vendors. Encrypt or hash personal identifiers before you send them. Mapp Intelligence matches users within the Mapp Cloud and can hash email addresses automatically. --- ## Related Topics - [Mapp Cloud User Matching](/v1/docs/mapp-cloud-user-matching) - [User Matching Methods and Use Cases](/v1/docs/mapp-cloud-user-matching-methods-and-use-cases) - [Security for Landing Pages](/v1/docs/security-for-landing-pages) ## Related - [Export Tracking Data for Landing Pages](/create-an-export-for-tracking-data.md)
