Navigation Path
In the Main Navigation, click Create New> Message
⇒ Step 1. Type opens.Enter message information and select Email from the Type drop-down list.
Click Create.
⇒ Step 2. Content opens.Click Upload Message.
⇒ The Upload Message Part window opens.
Purpose
You can create a message or a part of a message in an external tool, then upload this content into Mapp Engage for sendout.
In this window you can upload or import many types of content.
A section of email HTML for an email.
A section of plain text for an email.
A multi-part MIME email file (.eml)
A section of SMS content.
A section of a push notification content.
A CMS message from another Mapp Engage system.
Hint:
When you upload a message part or CMS message, the imported content overwrites everything in the message creation wizard. If you do not want to overwrite content, create another message.
Actions
Back: Opens step 1.Type of the message creation process. Selected files are not imported.
Browse: Searches for a file on your local computer.
Import: Uploads the selected message parts. The imported content completely replaces any settings, content, or attachments that are currently in the message creation wizard.
Upload Options
Message Parts: Uploads individual message parts.
When you create an email with both the HTML and text version, Mapp Engage sends both versions simultaneously. The email client decides which version to display depending on the preferences of your contact.HTML: Selects an HTML message part from your local computer.
The file must end with the extension .html.Plain Text: Selects a text message part from your local computer. When you click thUpload, Mapp Engage copies the text from the file into the Text content area in the Compose Message window.

Hint:
We recommend that you always include a text version of your email. Some contacts prefer text messages. Other contacts have special needs that require a text version.
Email Message (.eml): Uploads an entire email message.
The file must end with the extension .eml. The message must be formatted in the standard MIME message format RFC-822. The email can both HTML and text message parts. The email can contain inline images and attachments.External CMS Message: Imports a CMS message from a separate Mapp Engage system.
This button is only visible if a CMS Account record has been created in the Transfer Security area. For more information, see Select CMS Message (window).Select CMS Messages: Opens the Select CMS Message window, where you can view and select CMS messages available in an external Mapp Engage system.
Character Encoding: Defines the character encoding of the uploaded message or message part.
UTF-8 is the most common character set for unicode characters. For more information, see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UTF-8)). This character set supports all characters, including characters used in Middle Eastern and Asian languages.
