Overview

The Create SMS Channel flow guides you through setting up a new SMS messaging channel. It is structured as a multi-step process that collects basic channel information, provider-specific configuration, and a final summary before activation.

Configuration

The creation flow consists of three steps that must be completed in sequence.


Step 1 - Info

This step defines the basic channel information.

Channel information form with fields for name, description, and provider selection.

Name

The name of the channel. This field is required.

Description

An optional description to help identify the channel.

Provider

The SMS provider used for this channel. The available options depend on the system configuration.


Step 2 - Configure

This step defines provider-specific and functional SMS settings. The available options vary depending on the selected provider.

SMS-MT

Enables mobile-terminated messages. Provider login credentials are required when this option is selected.

  • Login user - The login username provided by the SMS provider.

  • Password - The password associated with the provider login.

SMS-MO

Enables mobile-originated messages.

  • Codes - Defines inbound SMS codes used for mobile-originated messages. Each code includes a name, a numeric code, a type, and an optional keyword.


Step 3 - Summary

This step provides a read-only overview of all information entered in the previous steps. From here, the channel can be activated or saved for later completion.

Saves the current configuration and keeps the channel in its current state.

Activate

Activates the channel if all required information is complete.

Close

Closes the creation flow without activating the channel.
