Deactivate and Reactivate a Contact Manually

Goal

Manually deactivate or reactivate a contact within the system.


Background Information

In Mapp Engage, contacts are usually deactivated automatically. However, if necessary, you can manually deactivate or reactivate contacts directly from their contact profile view.


Procedure

Deactivate a Contact

  1. Navigate to the Contact Profile by going to Audience > Contact Management > All Contacts.

  2. Search for the desired contact and click Edit Contact Profile.

  3. Open the Attributes tab.

  4. Hover over the top-left information panel and click the pencil icon that appears.

  5. In the Identifiers sidebar, deactivate the Activation toggle switch and click Apply.

  6. Click Save. The contact is now deactivated system-wide.

Reactivate a Contact

  1. To reactivate the contact, simply activate the Activation toggle switch and click Apply.

  2. Click Save. The contact is now reactivated system-wide.
