Manage Labels in Segmentation Builder

Prev Next

Goal

Labels are a useful way to organize your segments, especially when you manage a large number of segments in your Engage system. For example, you can build a labeling system that helps you identify segments related to specific campaigns, or group all segments related to newsletters.

This article shows you how to use labels in Mapp's Segmentation Builder: how to add a label to a segment, and how to filter your segment overview by label.

Add a Label to a Segment

The process for creating and adding a label is the same. If the label already exists, this process adds it to the segment. If it does not exist yet, this process creates the label and adds it to the segment.

  1. Open the segment and click the info icon.

  2. In the Info panel, scroll down to the Labels section.

  3. Type the label name in the Labels field, select the check box next to it, and click Apply.

Note: If you type a name that does not yet exist, Mapp creates the new label and applies it to the segment in the same step.

Filter Segments by Label

Once your segments are labeled, you can narrow the overview down to a single label.

  1. In the Segmentation Builder main view, click inside the Filter by labels search bar. All available labels appear as a drop-down list. You can also type the label name in the search bar.

  2. Select the check box next to the label you want to filter on. All segments that carry this label appear in the list.
