17 October 2025 We’ve introduced major enhancements to Mapp Intelligence Server-to-Server Tracking. You can now control the privacy-sensitive flow of your data, create new Mapp Engage contacts directly from tracking, and enrich profiles with attributes and events for seamless marketing automation.
What’s new?
Controlling the flow of data
Decide whether data is sent only to Mapp Intelligence or to both Mapp Intelligence and Mapp Engage. This gives you more control over privacy and helps ensure GDPR compliance. Please see our guide here for more information.
User registration in Mapp Engage
Create new contacts directly via Server-to-Server tracking. Registration details like email address, group affiliation, opt-in type, and consent can be transmitted so that users are instantly available in Mapp Engage.
Profile enrichment with Mapp Engage attributes and events
Go beyond registration by sending additional data such as Custom Attributes and Custom Web Events. These can immediately be used in Mapp Engage to personalize journeys and trigger automations (e.g. abandoned browse campaigns).
Improved architecture (PHP and Java)
This release introduces a modernized architecture across our Server-to-Server libraries, improving structure, performance, and data handling.
Important
This update includes breaking changes for both the PHP and Java libraries. Please review the details before upgrading.
PHP Library: Now requires PHP 7.0 or higher and uses PHP namespaces. See Changelog (Version 2.0.0).
Java Library: Introduces background batch processing for better performance and stability. See Changelog (Version 1.0.3).
