27 October 2025: We’re excited to announce the upcoming UI and UX updates to the Categories section in Mapp Engage! These enhancements will deliver a more intuitive and consistent user experience, making navigating and managing your data within Administration > Categories easier than ever.
What are Categories?
Categories help you organize and manage key elements such as links, messages, content, and tracking groups within Mapp Engage. They are vital in structuring your assets for reporting, targeting, and content personalization.
What’s New?
Consistent Layout Across Pages:
All pages now follow a streamlined design with standardized button placement, clearer headings, and a cohesive look.
Enjoy a unified, modern interface across all related pages in Administration > Categories.
Improved Table Interactions:
All columns are now sortable.
Filters are more accessible and no longer tied to individual columns.
The column order has been optimized for clarity.
Preset filters have moved closer to the table and are labeled consistently.
Multi-actions are now in a sticky footer, always visible, even while scrolling.
Smarter Navigation & Visibility:
Create and other key buttons are now always at the top-right of the screen.
Archived/Active toggles have been moved to a contextual menu in the table header.
Item Details are displayed directly under each table row - no more jumping to the bottom of the page.
Filter retention behavior has been updated - filters are no longer preserved when navigating away and returning.
Clear Feedback During Actions:
Canceling actions prompts a confirmation dialog.
Successful saves are now acknowledged with clear success messages.
Availability
These updates will be gradually released from October 30 to November 11, 2025, and will be available by default on all Mapp Engage systems.
