Information
Information | Description |
---|---|
ID | Shows the unique identification number that the system automatically assigns to each process. |
Start Date | Shows the date and time the process began. The calendars at the top of the column define a range of dates. |
End Date | Shows the date and time that the process was completed. |
Executor | Shows the name of the user who created the entity that is executed in the process. |
Name | Shows the name of the task that the process executes. A name is assigned to each entity by an individual user or by the system when the entity is created. The name provides additional information about the task that is performed. |
Entity ID | Shows the unique identification number that the system automatically assigns to each entity. An entity defines the particular task that is executed (for example, generation of a report). The entity ID cannot be changed. Mapp Engage can execute the same task (entity) multiple times in different processes consecutively. |
Type | Shows the kind of task that Mapp Engage executes in the process. The drop-down limits the display to the type you select. |
Status | Shows the current state of the process. The following options are available from the drop-down list:

Available Actions
The symbol in the Actions column opens a menu of actions for a process. This menu displays all the actions that are available to the user based on the type and status of the selected process. For example, no actions are displayed for processes with Failed status. The following actions are possible:
Hint:
Message Sendouts cannot be paused or canceled in the Processes Overview window.
To pause a message sendout that has already started, see Interrupt Sendout. To resume a sendout that is temporarily paused, see Resume sendout. To cancel a scheduled sendout, see Cancel a Scheduled Sendout.
Action | Description |
---|---|
View child processes | Opens the Child Processes of <Name of Process> pop-up window. This menu item only displays when the work in the process is divided into subtasks. Each subtask is completed in a Child Process. |
Pause | Halts work on a process temporarily. It is possible to resume work on a paused process. |
Resume | Continues work on a process that is paused. |
Cancel | Permanently stops work on a paused process. Work cannot be resumed on a canceled process. It is only possible to cancel a process that is paused. |
Progress | This status bar provides a visual representation of the current state of the process. The progress status updates every 10 seconds. Successfully completed portions of the process are represented in green. The percent of the process that is complete displays in the center of the bar. When the process is finished, Mapp Engage displays the duration of the process in the bar. The duration is given in hours, minutes, and seconds. A red progress bar indicates a process that Mapp Engage could not complete successfully. When a process cannot be completed, additional information is provided in the Error section of the Details area. |
Details Area
This area displays additional information about the process that is selected. The selected process is highlighted in orange in the overview table. The following information is available:
Information | Description |
---|---|
Name | Shows the name of the task (entity) that the process executes. |
Type | Shows the kind of task (entity) the process executes. |
Entity ID | Shows the identification number of the task that the process executes. Each entity has a unique ID that is assigned to it by the system when it is created. The Entity ID cannot be changed. |
Status | Shows the current state of the process. |
Processed Count | Shows the number of chunks on which work was completed successfully. |
Total Count | Shows the entire number of chunks in the process. This count is the number of work units into which Mapp Engage divided the work of the process. |
Start Date | Shows the date and time that work on the process began. |
End Date (estimated) | Shows date and time that a process is expected to be finished (if an estimate is available). |
End Date | Shows the date and time that the process finished. |
Group Name | Shows the name of the group in which the process is executed (if applicable). |
Duration | Shows the length of time the process runs in hours, minutes, and seconds. |
Executor | Shows the name and email address of the user who created the entity that is executed in the process. |
Error | If an error causes the execution of a process to fail, this item displays information about the kind of error that occurred. |
Input Parameter
The Input Parameter portion of the Details area lists the input parameters that are related to the selected process. For example, if a Title input parameter defines the name of the selected process, the name is displayed in this area.
Output Parameter
The Output Parameter portion of the Details area lists the output parameters that are related to the selected process.
Locks
The Locks portion of the Details area lists any resources that are locked during the execution of the selected process. When work ends on the process, locks are removed. Locks protect the integrity of your data. For example, the members of a group are locked while a member import takes place in their group. During the import, the members of the group are temporarily not available for a sendout. The lock ensures that all changes that are made to the data are processed before the sendout.
Information | Description |
---|---|
Exclusive | Only one process can use the locked resource at a time. Other processes must wait until the lock is removed. |
Non-exclusive | More than one process of the same kind can use the locked resource simultaneously. |
