Introduction
The Sources feature in Engage allows you to track the origin of contacts imported into the system. Each contact can be associated with a specific source ID, helping you analyze how and where contacts were acquired. This tracking supports insights into contact lifecycle quality and helps evaluate the cost-effectiveness of various contact generation activities.
Common Use Cases
Identify how many contacts were generated by specific internal campaigns (e.g., newsletters or promotions).
Track the performance of external sources such as third-party sweepstakes or partner programs.
Evaluate source-based contact behavior and performance using source statistics.
Managing and Using Sources
Source ID Assignment: During contact import or subscription via customized links, a source ID is assigned to each contact and stored in their profile.
Source Management: Users can create and manage both internal and external sources through the Sources section.
Evaluation and Reporting: Once sources are created, you can evaluate their performance in the Source Statistics view, analyzing contact behavior based on origin.
