Introduction

The Sources feature in Engage allows you to track the origin of contacts imported into the system. Each contact can be associated with a specific source ID, helping you analyze how and where contacts were acquired. This tracking supports insights into contact lifecycle quality and helps evaluate the cost-effectiveness of various contact generation activities.


Common Use Cases

  • Identify how many contacts were generated by specific internal campaigns (e.g., newsletters or promotions).

  • Track the performance of external sources such as third-party sweepstakes or partner programs.

  • Evaluate source-based contact behavior and performance using source statistics.


Managing and Using Sources

  • Source ID Assignment: During contact import or subscription via customized links, a source ID is assigned to each contact and stored in their profile.

  • Source Management: Users can create and manage both internal and external sources through the Sources section.

  • Evaluation and Reporting: Once sources are created, you can evaluate their performance in the Source Statistics view, analyzing contact behavior based on origin.
