Before you can use the Content Engagement plugin, you need to define specific event parameters in Mapp Intelligence. These parameters capture the name of the content element and the visibility percentage shown to users.
How to Create the Parameters
Log in to your Mapp Q3 account.
Navigate to Configuration > Custom Parameters.
Open the Event Parameters tab.
Click Create new custom parameter.
For each parameter, use the settings below:
Parameter Name | Description | Type |
|---|---|---|
Content Engagement - Name | Stores the name of the tracked element. | preconfigured |
Content Engagement - Element visibility % (figure) | Captures the visible percentage as a number (e.g. 25, 50, 75). | preconfigured (ID 922) |
Content Engagement - Element visibility % (text) | Captures the visible percentage as text (e.g. “25%”, “50%”, “75%”). | preconfigured (ID 923) |
Tip
Use the “Preconfigured” option when creating each parameter to simplify the setup.
Once the parameters are created and activated, you can proceed with the plugin configuration.
