Goal
Create and use SuperGroups to send messages to multiple recipient groups at once, either for centralized, personalized newsletters or for sending message previews before a final sendout.
Background Information
A SuperGroup is a combination of regular recipient groups. It allows you to address multiple groups with a single message while still controlling how and when content is delivered.
SuperGroups are typically used in two scenarios:
Sending personalized messages to multiple local or regional groups from one central message
Sending previews or drafts of messages to internal recipients before the final sendout
Prerequisites
You have already created the regular recipient groups that you want to combine into a SuperGroup.
Procedures
Setting up SuperGroups for personalized messages
Use this setup to centralize message creation while still delivering locally relevant content.
Create as many regular groups as needed, for example, one group per local office or shop.
Create one SuperGroup.
Add all local groups to the SuperGroup as subgroups.
Create one central message variation.
Define personalization rules to control which content elements are sent to which subgroups.
Send the message as a SuperMessage to the SuperGroup.
Setting up SuperGroups for message previews
Use this setup to send previews or drafts to selected recipients without needing to contact end customers.
Create regular groups for each local office that contain customer recipients.
Create one SuperGroup.
Add all local groups to the SuperGroup as subgroups.
Add managers or internal reviewers directly to the SuperGroup.
Send preview messages as a normal sendout to the SuperGroup.
When the message is finalized, send it as a SuperMessage to reach only the subgroup recipients.
Result
Depending on the sendout type:
A normal sendout to a SuperGroup reaches only the members directly assigned to the SuperGroup.
A SuperMessage reaches the members of all subgroups, with content personalized per subgroup if defined.
