Goal
Reactivate contacts who are deactivated across all groups in Mapp Engage using a structured process based on segmentation and group transfer.
Background Information
Mapp Engage handles system-wide reactivation through a combination of segmentation and group transfer. This approach provides flexibility and control, allowing you to target and restore inactive contacts with precision.
Use this process when you need to:
Reactivate contacts who are no longer active in any group
Target specific deactivation reasons, such as Transient or Blocked
Restore deliverability for previously flagged but valid addresses
When a contact is deactivated in any group, they are also marked as system-wide deactivated. This built-in safety mechanism ensures problematic addresses are excluded from all communications.
The Deactivation Basics page provides detailed information about how deactivation works, including triggers, system-wide effects, and automated rules.
Prerequisites
To complete this process, you need permission to:
Create and manage segments
Manage groups and group memberships
Reactivate contacts in groups
If these options are not available to you, please contact your administrator.
