Data feeds enable automated, scheduled data exchange between Mapp Intelligence and external systems. They are used to export data from Mapp Intelligence or to import external data for analysis and reporting.
Data feeds are designed for recurring, system-to-system data transfer and are executed as batch-based, file-oriented processes.
What Are Data Feeds?
A data feed is a configurable process that transfers structured data on a defined schedule. Depending on its direction, a feed can:
Export data from Mapp Intelligence to external systems
Import data into Mapp Intelligence from external sources
Feeds run automatically and process the most recent data available at execution time.
Typical Use Cases
Data feeds are commonly used to exchange analytics and configuration data with other systems.
Export
Provide recurring data extracts for BI, data warehouse, or CRM systems
Deliver structured analytics data for downstream processing
Import
Enrich analytics with external data such as returns, costs, or classifications
Update categories or parameters in bulk
Data feeds deliver structured data files and are not intended for interactive reporting or ad-hoc analysis.
Availability
Data feeds are an optional feature. Availability and supported feed types depend on your contract.
If data feeds are not available in your account, contact your Mapp representative or support.
