Mobile Push Campaigns with Sendout Speed Limitation

Prev Next

Objective

The goal of this guide is to send Mobile Push notifications with a defined sendout speed limitation.

Important Notes

  • Channel-Specific Sendout Speed: Sendout speed settings apply only to email and SMS channels. To control the sendout speed for Mobile Push notifications, use a scheduled Whiteboard with a Random Split filter. For more information, see Mobile Push Campaigns with Sendout Speed Limitation.

  • Consider sendout speed adjustments for large or irregularly scheduled campaigns to enhance deliverability and reduce potential issues.

Whiteboard

Using a Random Split filter, this Whiteboard sends Mobile Push notifications in sequential paths. Instead of sending all notifications simultaneously, the paths execute one after another, from left to right, at the defined times.

Show detailed configuration

Here are the steps to configure a Push Sendout with the Random Split filter.

  1. Define the Target Group: Use the Whiteboard Audience job to define the target group.

  2. Define your Random Split filter: Add the filter Random Split. Now, add the paths and define the split distribution. Our example has five evenly distributed paths.

  3. Define the Push notification to be sent: Add the job Send Push Notification to each path.

  4. Set the sequence for notification sendouts:
For each path, manually set the time to send it consecutively and not all at once. For example:

    • Path 1 - 10 am

    • Path 2 - 10:30 am

    • Path 3 - 11 am

    • Path 4 - 11:30 am

    • Path 5 - 12:00 pm

  5. Finalize your Whiteboard setup as needed.
