Overview
Push Notification Statistics provide a summary of key performance indicators (KPIs) for mobile push messages. These metrics help you evaluate message delivery, user interaction, and campaign effectiveness, enabling data-driven adjustments for improved performance.
Event data is provided by the Apple Push Notification Service (APNs) and Google Cloud Messaging (GCM). Engage cannot verify the accuracy of this data.

Key Characteristics
Statistics are only available for messages containing mobile push content.
Metrics reflect message delivery and user behavior across devices.
Events include:
Direct message clicks
App opens within 12 hours of sendout
Device-specific tracking: Each contact’s activity is counted once per device.
Available Statistics
Delivery Performance
Displays sendout-specific delivery statistics. Graphs can be filtered by total or unique values.
Delivery Rate – Percentage of messages successfully delivered.
Delivery Rate = Delivered / Sent × 100Sent – Total number of messages sent.
Sent = Delivered + Bounced + SkippedDelivered – Number of successfully delivered messages (confirmed by server response).
Bounced – Messages that failed to deliver due to:
Invalid device token
Device unreachable
Server errors
App uninstalled or unable to receive messages
Message too long
Recipient Activity
Tracks how users interact with push notifications:
Launch App – Number of times the app was launched.
Open Landing Page / Deep Link / Store – User interactions with defined links.
Dial Number – Number of times the call function was triggered.
Dismissed – Number of dismissed notifications.
Clicks – Unique clicks on the message.
CTR (Click-through Rate) –
CTR = Clicked Messages / Delivered MessagesDismiss Rate –
Dismiss Rate = Dismissed Messages / Displayed Messages
Only one click or dismissal is counted per user per message.
