Create Mapp Engage System User

Goal

To create an account for a system user in Mapp Engage.

Prerequisites

You have permission 2000 (System Administration: View and edit all system users). If your system role does not have it, contact your Account Manager.

Background Information

System user accounts are for the individuals who log in to the Mapp Engage user interface or access it via API. Each system user needs a username and a password. When you create the account, Mapp Engage sends the system message SysMsgNewSystemUser with a link to set the password.

Procedure

  1. In the main navigation, click User Management > System Users > System Users.

  2. Click Create.

  3. Complete the fields (Type, Email Address, First/Last Name, Language, Time Zone, Role, and the options). For a description of each field, see New System User (window).

  4. Click Save. Mapp Engage confirms the new user and sends the password system message. Alternatively, set a password manually — see Set Password for a System User.
