Mapp Intelligence: Smart Pixel 6.12.1

Prev Next

The latest Smart Pixel release lets you serve Marketing Automation from your own domain and makes the viewability threshold for recommendation tracking configurable.

Summary of changes

  • Marketing Automation: The new widgetDomain setting defines a single domain through which all Marketing Automation services are reached. Point it at your first-party Custom Track Domain (C-Name) and far fewer requests are blocked by ad blockers and browser tracking protection, which means more complete campaign and recommendation data. See Marketing Automation extension.

  • Recommendation Tracking: The threshold for the viewable status can now be configured. You define how much of a recommendation element has to be visible and for how long before it counts as viewable. The defaults are unchanged, so existing setups keep reporting as before. See Recommendation Tracking extension.

  • Recommendation product statuses: The Smart Pixel now sends loaded-reco and viewable-reco, which completes the renaming announced in Clearer Names for Recommendation Widget Product Statuses. The previous values remain valid for a transition period, so no events are lost. If you filter Data Streams exports or your own monitoring on the literal values display-reco or view-reco, check whether those rules still match.

  • Bug fix: Customer IDs were not hashed correctly when the email address contained special characters.

Availability
