Overview

Use the Personalization interface to manage personalization rules. You can create new rules, edit or copy existing ones, change the rule owner, view personalizations, and delete personalizations that are no longer needed.

Edit

Opens the Personalization Builder for personalization. Both the structure and conditions of personalization can be edited there.

Copy

Creates a copy of the personalization and opens it in the ​Personalization Builder, where it can be edited.

Owner

Opens the Transfer Ownership​ window, where a new owner of the personalization can be defined (see ​Transfer Ownership).

Create

Creates a new personalization (see Code View (wizard)).

Remove Filter

Clears the active filter applied to the list of personalizations.

Delete

Deletes the selected personalization.

Opens the action menu for the selected personalization.

Name

Displays the name of the personalization. Personalization names are not unique.

Description

Shows the personalization’s description, if available. It appears in the overview and provides additional details about the personalization.

Owner

Displays the owner of the personalization.

Created

Shows the date and time when the personalization was created.

Last Update

Shows the date and time when the personalization was last updated.

Last Use

Shows the date and time when the personalization was last inserted into a message. The message does not need to have been sent.


Details Panel

The details panel appears when selecting a personalization in the overview.

Information

Description

ID

The unique personalization ID assigned by the system.

Name

Displays the name of the personalization. This value is not unique.

Owner

Shows the owner of the personalization. Unless changed, this is the user who created it.

Type

Displays the type of personalization. This is always complex.

Description

Shows the description of the personalization, if provided. Because names aren’t unique, a description helps distinguish between personalizations. Adding a description is recommended.

Contains Content

Indicates whether the personalization includes fixed content inserted automatically (e.g., a greeting line such as “Dear …”).

Group

Indicates whether member attributes are used in the personalization. Since groups differ in available member attributes, the personalization can only be used with groups that contain the required attributes.
