    Article summary

    Goal

To remove deactivated contacts from a group.

    Background Information

A group member is automatically deactivated in the Mapp Engage system after the email address generates a specific number of responses. You can view the contacts who are deactivated in a group based on the type of response that caused the deactivation.

You can remove deactivated contacts from the group by deleting their membership. The contact remains in the system. As long as the contact has not been deactivated system-wide, the contact can subscribe or be added as a member of other groups in the system.

    Procedure

    1. In the Main Navigation, click Audience > Deactivated.

    2. From the Group drop-down list, select a group..

    3. Next to the response category for which you want to display deactivated contacts, click the symbol.

    4. Next to the contact you want to remove, click   Remove.
The deactivated contact is removed from the group. This action does not affect other group memberships. The contact profile data is not deleted. Group-specific data (such as member attributes and subscription data) is deleted.

The contact is still available in the system. To delete the contact from Mapp Engage permanently, see Delete Contact.
