Overview

The System Messages overview displays a list of default and customized messages used for automated system communication in Mapp Engage. It provides access to message details, editing options, and tools to manage message behavior.


Navigation Path​

Information Displayed

Information

Description

​Name​

Displays the internal name of the system message.

​Info​

Tooltip icons show a short description or purpose of the message.

​Type​

Indicates the type of action the message supports:

  • Subscription: These system messages pertain to group subscriptions (e.g. subscription moderation).

  • Unsubscribe: These system messages pertain to group unsubscribes (e.g. unsubscribe notification).

  • Profile Change: These system messages pertain to profile changes in Mapp Engage.

  • Notification: These system messages notify the recipient of a group change (e.g. a change of credit, password change).

  • Message: These system messages pertain to group messages (e.g. message moderation).

  • Statistics: These system messages pertain to statistics in Mapp Engage (e.g. reports)

  • Import: These system messages pertain to the import of data into a group in Mapp Engage (e.g. member import report).

  • Export: These system messages pertain to the export of data from Mapp Engage (e.g. export generated).

  • System: These system messages pertain to the Mapp Engage system (e.g. confirmation of campaign).

​Status​

Shows whether the message is default or overridden with a custom version.

​Last Changed​

Shows the date and time when the message was last modified.

Description

​View​

Opens the preview of the system message. See ​Email Message Preview.

​Edit​

Opens the Edit System Message window. Note: Customized messages must be edited in the original prepared message.

​Suppress Sendout​

Disables automatic sending of the message without deleting the configuration.

​Back to Default​

Reverts the message to the default system version.

​Assign Message​

Opens a window where you can assign a prepared message as a custom version. See ​Edit System Message.

A customized system message cannot be edited here. To edit a customized system message, it is necessary to edit the prepared message used as a template. For more information, see ​Create Templates for System Messages​.
