Teaser Tracking

Prev Next

Teasers are image or text elements designed to grab attention and lead visitors to a specific page or offer — for example, a banner on the homepage or a promotional tile on a product page.

Knowing which teasers were clicked is not enough to understand and optimize their performance. You also need insight into what happened after the click: Did the user complete a purchase? Fill out a form? Reach a key goal?

The Teaser Tracking plugin enables detailed analysis of onsite teaser performance — from views and clicks to engagement and conversions.

How does it work?

Once the plugin is integrated on your website:

  • Teaser views and clicks are captured automatically.

  • Engagement is tracked after a teaser click:

For each page viewed after the click, an engagement point is added — until a conversion or website goal is reached, or the visit ends.

  • Conversions can be assigned to teasers using custom logic — for example, based on clicks or views, and matched by teaser name or placement.

You can configure how much of a teaser must be visible (percentage) and for how long (in milliseconds) before it counts as viewed.
