Overview
The Upload Message Part window in Mapp Engage allows you to upload or import message content that was created externally. This feature helps you efficiently reuse pre-designed message parts like HTML emails, plain text, or CMS content within your message creation process.
Navigation Path
Go to:
Create New > Message > Email Message > HTML Email, or
Messages > Draft Messages > Email > Edit, or
Messages > Prepared Messages > Email > Edit
Follow the email creation process until you reach Step 2 - Content.
Click Upload Message.

Upload Email Message
Uploads an entire MIME-formatted email (.eml). Can contain HTML, text parts, images, attachments.

Upload CMS Message
Imports a CMS message from a separate Mapp Engage system.
Setting | Description |
---|---|
CMS Account | Selects the CMS account from which the message will be imported. Available only if a CMS account is configured. |
Select CMS Messages | Opens the CMS message selection window from the selected CMS account. |

Actions Table
Action | Description |

Back | Returns to Step 1: Type of the message creation process. Selected files are not imported. |
Browse | Opens your file browser to select a file from your local computer. |
Import | Uploads and applies the selected message parts. Imported content fully replaces any existing content in the wizard. |
Additional Information
Important: When you upload a message part or CMS message, the imported content will overwrite all current settings, content, or attachments in the message creation wizard.
If you do not want to overwrite existing content, create a new message instead.Recommendation: Always include a plain text version of your email. This ensures accessibility and better delivery for contacts who prefer text messages or use devices that cannot display HTML.
