This guide provides instructions for setting up the Tracking Pixel V4/5. It walks you through the process of defining basic tracking on your website and explains how to enhance your tracking with additional plugins and configurations.

To support your setup, detailed information about all configurable elements in the Tracking Plugin is available in dedicated pages listed in the menu on the left. These pages cover each setting you can configure, helping you fully utilize the Tracking Pixel.

While this guide focuses on setup, we recommend exploring those additional pages for a comprehensive understanding of all options.


1 Setting Up the Tracking Pixel V4/5

  1. Select a Container

    Go to the container overview and select your desired container. See Containers for more details.

  2. Add the Mapp Intelligence Plugin

    Click Add Plugin and select the Mapp Intelligence plugin.

  3. Enter Basic Information

    Fill in the necessary details to configure your tracking setup. See Basic for more details.

  4. Define Rules for Tracking

    Set up a rule to determine when and where the plugin tracks data (e.g., “All pages” for sitewide tracking). If you add multiple rules, at least one must apply. See Rules for more details.

  5. Save and Publish

    Save your configuration and click Publish. The setup will be live within a few minutes.
