    Settings

    Setting

    Description

    Name

Defines the name of the content element. The name is used internally to identify the content element. The name does not have to be unique.

The maximum length is 60 characters. If you do not enter a name, the system automatically assigns "New Content Element."

    Description

Defines a description of the content element. The description is inserted as ALT text when you use the image in a message. If the image cannot be displayed for any reason, the alt text replaces it.

    Content / Attachment

In this area, you select whether to upload a file or add HTML content.

    Expiration Date

This setting defines how long the CSE is available on the system. You can enter a specific expiration date or select Automatic Expiration Date. Unless otherwise specified, elements expire automatically 180 days after the last time they are accessed.

If the Automatic Expiration Date box is unchecked, the element is always deleted at the specified date, whether it has been accessed or not.

    Upload File

Upload content from a file. Enter the path of the file, or click Browse to select a file from your computer.

Mapp Engage displays an error if you upload a file larger than 500 KB. Large attachments and images negatively impact the deliverability of your email. To save space, Mapp Engage removes unnecessary metadata from image files.

Mapp Engage does not allow file types that can contain malicious code. For example, you cannot upload an executable file (.exe), a link file (.lnk), or an mp3 file (.mp3). These file types are restricted for your security, protection, and contacts. In addition, Mapp Engage scans the files you upload with an antivirus scanner. If Mapp Engage detects a threat, an error message appears and you are not permitted to upload the file. If you see such an error message, contact your Account Manager for more information.

    HTML / HTML Editor

Adds HTML content to the Content Store.

    • Click HTML-Code to enter the HTML manually.

    • Click HTML-Editor to generate HTML in WYSIWYG mode.
