    Increase Attendance by Promoting Exhibition Dates

    Prerequisites

    1. A custom attribute for the customer's area: Create Custom Attribute. You can check whether the custom attribute has been set correctly by going to Audience > Administration > All Contacts and looking at a contact profile:
       

    2. Segmentation for the target audience: Create a Segment. The segment is called "Opt-Ins" and includes contacts whose Custom Attribute "Opt-In" is equal to True. The segment must be published before use.
       

    3. A Content Store image for each area: Create New Content Store Element. Go to Content > Content Store > Images to make sure that you have images for each area, containing the dates and location of the exhibition in that area.

    Add the dynamic content to your email.

    • Create an Email Message "Travel Exhibition Dates".

    • Add a hero block "T&R" Hero Image" for every exhibition banner in the content store (see the prerequisites).

    • Select the block for "Glasgow" and go to the Details tab o the right.

    • Activate the slider Sendout Condition.

    • In the pop-up window Select a sendout condition, select Attribute and the following conditions:

      • Attribute: Area

      • Value: Scotland

    • Click Save.

    • Repeat this action for each location's block in the email.

    • Save the message.

    Content > Email > Email Messages

    Schedule the message sendout

    • Once the message is saved, click PREPARE SENDOUT at the top right of the Compose Email Message window. This opens the Configuration section.

    • To test the message, click Preview and select a profile of a contact whose area you know. Then click Update. The email preview will show the exhibition banner that was set up for that area. 

    • Configure the sendout:

      • Group: Master Email

      • Segment: Opt-Ins

      • Message transport: Schedule

      • Select the correct data and time

    • Click Schedule Message.
