Form tracking captures how visitors interact with forms on your website, including custom forms without a <form> element.
It allows, for example, the following analyses:
At which field do visitors most often abandon a form?
What is the completion rate of a specific form?
Which fields are filled in before a form is abandoned?
Mapp Intelligence distinguishes between forms that were accessed, abandoned, and submitted. A form counts as submitted as soon as the Submit button is clicked.
Values entered into form fields can also be analyzed. If data is transferred anonymized, you can analyze whether a form field was filled in or not.

Note
Error messages should be tracked separately, using custom parameters. Also note that if a visitor closes the browser right after leaving a form without any further interaction, the abandonment may not always be captured — a subsequent page view or interaction is typically needed to confirm it.
