This event executes a job when a profile-based automation is applied. This can be a mapping or a calculation.
Hint:
In Mapp Engage, the designation (S) means system-related. Generally, you only combine system (S) events with system (S) jobs. For more information, see Contact (C) vs. System (S) Automations
General
Name | Defines the name of the automation. The name is used to identify the automation in the system. The maximum length is 100 characters. |
Description | Provides information about the automation. The description makes it easier to identify the automation in the system. |
Event | Selects the type of event that, when combined with a job, forms the automation. Every time this event occurs, the system executes the dependent job. The job is defined in the Edit Event-based Job window. |
Define Event
This area defines the specific parameters of the event.
Group Name: This drop-down list restritcs the event to mappings in a certain group. The
symbol opens a pop-up window. In the window it is possible to search all groups in the system.
Automation: This drop-down list defines the profile-based automation. The list displays all profile-based automations in the system with the status Active.
Define Selection
Selection: A selection limits the event to certain event executors who fulfill the selection criteria. The system user who applies the profile-based automation, not the event-based automation owner, has to fulfill the selection criteria. If the system user who performs the event is not in the selection, the job will not execute. Use the
