    This event initiates job execution when import of data into a related data set is finished. This includes manual file import or import using the time-based automation.

    In Mapp Engage, the designation ​(S)​ means system-related. Generally, you only combine ​system (S) events​ with ​system (S) jobs​. For more information, see ​Contact (C) vs. System (S) Automations​

    General

    ​Name​

    Defines the name of the automation. The name is used to identify the automation in the system. The maximum length is 100 characters.

    ​Description​

    Provides information about the automation. The description makes it easier to identify the automation in the system.

    ​Event​

    Selects the type of event that, when combined with a job, forms the automation. Every time this event occurs, the system executes the dependent job. The job is defined in the ​Edit Event-based Job​ window.

    Define Event​

    This area defines the specific parameters of the event.

    • Related Data Set: These fields limit the event to imports in a certain related data set. When blank, the event includes all imports into any related data set.

      • Equals: The related data set name exactly matches the related data set selected in the drop-down field.

      • Does Not Equal: The related data set name does not match the related data set selected in the drop-down field.

      • Starts with: The related data set name starts with the value in the input field.

      • Ends with: The related data set name ends with the value in the input field

      • Matches [Regex]: The related data set name matches the regular expression in the input field.

    • Success: This drop-down list restricts the event to successful or unsuccessful imports.

      • Unset: Both successful and unsuccessful imports initiate the job.

      • Yes: Only successful imports initiate the job. A successful import means that the metadata is correct and at least 95% of the data was imported. Talk to your customer representative to change this percentage.

      • No: Only unsuccessful imports initiate the job. An unsuccessful import occurs when the metadata is incorrect, less than 95% of the data was imported, or a fatal processing error occurs.

    • Parameters: These fields are not appropriate for this event.
