      Navigation Path​

      1. In the ​Main Navigation​, click ​Audience​ > ​Administration​.
        ⇒The ​Contact Management​ window opens to the ​Group Members​ tab.

      2.  From the ​Group​ drop-down list, select a group.
        ⇒The contacts who are members of the selected group are shown in the list.

      3. Click ​Add Members​.

        ⇒The ​Add​ window opens.

      Purpose​

      This window lets you add one or more contacts as members of a specific group.

      What can I do in this window?

      • Add one or more existing contacts to a group as a member.

      • Add one or more new contacts to the system and add them as members to a group.

      ​Add Members ​

      Adds the contacts to the group.

      Description

      ​ Address Type​

      Defines which key attribute is used to identify new members. Mapp Engage supports message sendout to an email address, mobile number, or mobile app alias.

      • ​Email​ - Contacts are added using email address, first name, and last name. Separate each value with a comma. A sample email entry is displayed at the top of the input field.

      • ​Mobile Number​ - Contacts are added using mobile phone number, first name, and last name. Separate each value with a comma. A sample mobile entry is displayed at the top of the input field.

      • ​Mobile App Alias​ - Contacts are added using mobile app alias, first name, and last name. Separate each value with a comma. A sample entry is displayed at the top of the input field.

      ​Add Contacts​

      These settings define the subscription mode that is used to add contacts to the group. The following options are available:

      • ​With Notification​ - Contacts are sent a notification message immediately after import. The contact can respond to the welcome message to be removed from the group. Used for single opt-in subscriptions.

      • ​Without Notification​ - Contacts are not sent any notification messages. Used for single opt-in subscriptions.

      • ​Invite​ - Contacts are sent an invitation and asked to confirm their membership. Contacts who do not reply within 14 days are automatically removed from the group. Contacts who have not yet confirmed their membership are given ​Pending​ status. Pending contacts do not receive messages in the group. Used for double opt-in subscriptions.

      ​Add as Test Recipients​

      Adds contacts to the group as test recipients. Test recipients help you check the deliverability and the display of a message. For more information, see ​Send Test Message to Test Recipients​.
