Prev Next

Goal

To export an Excel file that contains all of the contacts in the Mapp Engage system who are deactivated system-wide.

Background Information

A system-wide deactivated contact no longer receives messages from any Mapp Engage group. A contact is automatically deactivated in the Mapp Engage system after the email address generates a specific number of responses.

When a contact is deactivated in Mapp Engage, they will no longer receive messages on any channel (email, SMS, or mobile push).

Procedure

1 Create a Segment

  1. In the main navigation, click Audience > Segmentation > Segmentation Builder.

  2. Click Create and enter a name for the selection.

  3. Drag and drop the Profile Attribute criterion onto the canvas.

  4. Configure the criterion as follows:

    • Attribute Name: Bounced(S)

    • Operator: Equals

    • Value: Yes

  5. Click Apply.

  6. Click the symbol to calculate the number of contacts in the segment.

  7. Save and publish the segment.

2 Transfer the Segment to a New Group

  1. Go to Audience > Segmentation > Segmentation Builder.

  2. Click the segment plan you want to add to a group once. A bar with the options More and Edit appears at the top.

  3. Click More and then click Transfer. The Transfer Segment window opens to the Update Existing Group tab.

  4. In the Transfer Segment window:

    • Select transfer mode:

      • Add – Add contacts not yet in the group.

      • Replace – Replace all current members with matching segment contacts.

      • Remove – Remove matching contacts from the group.

    • Choose a group.

    • Choose the amount to transfer: All, Percentage, or Number (selected randomly by ID).

  5. Click Transfer.
