Landing Page Variables

Prev Next

The Landing Pages category inserts a link to a landing page that you created in Mapp Engage. You can use the variable in messages and on landing pages:

  • In a message: The link takes the contact to the landing page. During sendout, Mapp Engage adds the message ID and the user ID to the link. This identifies the contact who visits the landing page and the message the contact clicked.

  • On a landing page: The link takes the visitor to a different landing page.

Note

Landing page variables are not supported in push notifications.

  1. Create or edit a message or a landing page.

  2. Click Mapp Engage Variables.

  3. From the Category drop-down list, select Landing Pages.

  4. Drag and drop the landing page into the message or landing page. If the landing page is not listed, click Show more Landing Pages? and search for it.

Available Landing Pages

The Landing Pages category lists the landing pages in your Mapp Engage system.

If the category shows no landing pages, one of the following applies:

  • There are no landing pages in your Mapp Engage system.

  • You do not have permission to see landing pages. You need one of the following system permissions:

    • 1500 CMS: View All Landing Pages

    • 1501 CMS: Edit Own Landing Pages

Format

The variable is inserted as a complete link. The link text is the name of the landing page:

<a href="<%InsertLPLink id='19'%>">Landing page name</a>
  • id is the ID of the landing page. Mapp Engage assigns a unique ID to every landing page.

  • You can change the link text. Do not change the variable itself.

After sendout, the link in the message has the following format:

http://systemname.xxx/public/m/pagename?mid=YYYYYYYYY&uid=YYYYYYYYY&sig=YYYYYYYYY
  • mid is the unique ID that Mapp Engage assigns to each message.

  • uid is the unique ID that Mapp Engage assigns to each contact.
