Managing CI Segments

Prerequisites

CI Segments are available only if:

• Mapp Intelligence is enabled.

• CI Segments in Mapp Engage are activated.

• Data for CI Segments is calculated based on historical behavior and updated periodically.

Features and Actions

In this window, you can:

• View and filter all available CI Segments.

• See where CI Segments are used within Mapp Engage.

• Force automatic segment recalculation.

Viewing Available CI Segments

To look up available CI Segments, navigate to Audience > Segmentation > CI Segments. A list of all available CI Segments will be displayed.

The Details section displays the description of the CI Segment in Mapp Intelligence and where in the Segmentation Builder it is used.

Defining CI Segments for Automatic Recalculation

CI Segments actively used in Mapp Engage are automatically updated every 24 hours. If you need an update sooner, you can force recalculation for unused segments.

To force recalculation:

1. Go to Audience > Segmentation > CI Segments.

2. Use the checkboxes on the right to select the segments for automated recalculation.

3. Click the ON button to activate recalculation.

4. The value in the Force Daily Refreshment column will be updated.

5. To deactivate automated recalculation, click the OFF button.

Daily CI Segment recalculation limits 

There is a maximum number of CI Segments that can be recalculated automatically per day. If the limit is exceeded, you will not be able to:

1. Select additional CI Segments for daily recalculation.

2. Publish a Segmentation Builder selection using a new CI Segment.

However, you can still use existing CI Segments or those already selected for forced daily recalculation.
