Store Data in Profile Attributes

This job was previously called: Change Profile.
This job stores predefined values in user attributes. The contacts are selected from the system-wide database with a mandatory selection. The values stored in the profile attributes of these contacts are updated.
There are many possible use cases for this job. Almost any type of contacts activity or information can be used to create selections and to add additional data to the contact's profile. This additional profile data can be used, for example, as the basis for analysis, message personalisation and list cleaning.
Basic Settings
Name | This input field defines the name of the automation. The name is used to identify the automation in the system. It appears on the Time-based Automations Overview window. The maximum length is 100 characters. |
Description | This input field defines a description of the automation. The description makes it easier to identify the automation in the system. |
Job | This input field defines the job. For a list of all available jobs, see All Available Time-Based Jobs. |
Define Job
This area defines the attributes to which new values are added.
: This button adds new input fields.
: This button removes the input fields.
The drop-down list displays all attributes available in the system. The input fields change depending on the selected attribute. If an enumerated attribute is selected, the new value can be selected from the drop-down. For all other attribute types, the value is entered manually.
The parameter value can be also a valid function, such as:

or any valid Mapp Engage Function.
Define Selection
Selection: This drop-down list defines a selection. A selection filters contacts according to defined conditions. Use the symbol to search all selections in the system.
The selection can be used to select certain contacts whose profiles should be updated - for example, depending on their behavior patterns.
Schedule
Schedule | This button saves your changes and opens the Schedule Time-based Automation window. Here you define the date and time of execution. For more information, see Schedule Time-Based Automation (window). |
