Create a Coupon List
Click Create.
Enter a Name. The name becomes part of the coupon variable, for example
<%coupon.welcomecoupon%>.Optional: Enter a Description.
Under Insufficient Number of Coupons, select what happens when the list has no codes left:
Display Alternative Text: Recipients without a code see the alternative text instead of the coupon.
Pause Sendout: The sendout stops until you import more codes and resume it.
If you selected Display Alternative Text, enter the Alternative Text.
Optional: Enter a Preview Text. Test messages and previews show this text instead of a real code.
Optional: Set up a reminder. See Set Up a Low-Coupon Reminder below.
Click Save.
The new list is empty. Import your codes next. For the rules of each field, see Create New Coupon List.

Select the validation type:
Coupon Codes for alphanumeric codes
Barcodes for codes that you want to show as barcodes
If you selected Barcodes, select the barcode type.
Click Browse and select your import file. The file must contain one code per line, in a single column, without a header row. For the full format description, see Import Coupons.

Replace: Replaces all existing codes.
Delete: Removes the codes in the file from the list.
Click Import.
⇒ You receive a system message with the import status.
Note
Imports in Replace or Delete mode are blocked during active sendouts.
Resume a Paused Sendout
If a list uses Pause Sendout and runs out of codes, the sendout stops. To continue it:
Import more codes into the list in Add mode.
Go to Messages > Outbox > Email.
Filter by the status Interrupted.
Click Resume next to the sendout.
Set Up a Low-Coupon Reminder
A reminder notifies the owner of the list, and optionally another user, when the number of available codes drops to a threshold. This gives you time to import more codes before a sendout runs out. The reminder is sent as the system message SysMsgCouponAlert.
Create a coupon list or edit an existing one.
Set Remind Owner to Yes.
In Send Reminder When, enter the number of codes that triggers the reminder.
Optional: In Send Additional Reminder To, select another Mapp Engage user.
Click Save.
For more information, see System Messages.
